Decostruzioni

My artistic research led to a series of pieces called Decostruzioni in wich words leave their original purpose and meaning behind in order to become pure shapes. The surface of road signs, warning plates and other found objects is cut into small pieces and re-assembled into abstract artworks. My practice can be broken down into 3 main phases: objet trouvé > de-construction > assemblage, in which the “iconoclastic act” and the “street art” draw energy from each other. The result is a new interpretation of the ancient Japanese technique of kintsugi.
