Dissolution

These works are inspired by decorative walls and fences. They suggest an overall, ongoing structure–a see-through wall essentially. But depict a process of disintegration–ongoing or arrested. The beautiful and pure is falling apart and disappearing. However only up to a point–the dissolving is as important as the dissolved. Because of the strength of the remaining positive network of image, the missing negative space is almost as “visible”.
