Figure Studies

The figure studies usually start with a charcoal drawing. I like to scumble with a charcoal pencil to find a true line. I work with light and color, the interaction of the figure to ground, and the relationship between the figure form and space. I love the freshness and timelessness I see when all these elements work together in a drawing/painting.
