Forest Silhouettes

As I stare through the Winter trees after sunset, my warm breath pierces the ice-cold air. The colour drains from the forest leaving a tangled silhouette and only the blues and blue-whites of the sky remain as a reminder of daylight. That sentiment is how the series started and as it progresses I explore more cloud colour and the remnants of the sunlit sky. My favourite local forest, where I walk, play and cycle is Snaresbrook in east London and these paintings represent my views of this place.
