Genius Loci Adriatic

Travel fuels imagination and painting is a form of travel for me, after all.It meant searching for a mindful quest and creative liberation to study and absorb the place of living - the Eastern Adriatic Coast. The pastel painting named Genius Loci Adriatic reveal the unity between Nature and architecture. The Mediterranean flora hue- those of the blue- green tonality recombined with the harmoniosly balanced shapes, volumes and structures of the houses, churches, mountains, fortresses, bays with boats.Here the viewer can feel the sense of sustainability and Eternity of the architecture, a history preserved over the centuries frozen in space,but still alive. Can feel the Mediterranean calm, reflection and perhaps a faint hint of melancholy.
