girlfriends

Since 1995 I have been filming and taking pictures of girls and women who want to become public and to be photographed. Sometimes a girlfriend or one of my sisters asks me to take pictures of them or I will approach them to photograph. Either way, the desire is there to be interpreted and mediated by the camera. Perhaps the event is a wedding or there is the career ambition to be a model, singer, etc. motivating a photo shoot or casual filming. Some pictures that I think have an unusual dramatic intensity and beauty will become the foundation for paintings.
