“Graffiare Figures” Series Tiles

This is a technique I call "Graffiare". Sgraffito and Sgraffiti come from the Italian word graffiare ("to scratch"), ultimately from the Greek (γραΦειν) (gráphein) "to write". I began using this technique in 2013. Instead of doing drawings in a sketchbook, although I still do that quite a bit, I thought it would be interesting to do them on a more permanent material.
