Being a splendid master of drawing, Arthur Nikitin chooses the most pictorial techniques: lithography and etching. He often uses the eight-block (eight-color) method in lithography which makes his works rich in color. The artist has a certificate of a high-class lithography expert and for several years headed the Lithography Printing Workshop of the Latvian Art Fund. In his etchings Arthur Nikitin fully preserves the impulsiveness and directness of his hand movement as he does not work with tracing paper, but directly on the plate, thus preserving the pulsating energy of the line.
