In Formation collages

My "In Formation" series are map-based collage renderings of the struggle between Fascism and Communism, using the consumer packaging of the ultimate victor, Capitalism. The titles are concurrent dates in art and philosophical history. Their clue-like nature invokes my father’s relaxation from military intelligence work through crossword puzzles, and their assembly mimics my mother's absorption in jigsaw puzzles. The 8.8" size refers to the feared German "88" gun.
