According to etymological dictionaries, “meteor” from Medieval Latin, refers to “the celestial phenomena, things in heaven above”. It includes all meteorological elements from wind, snow, rain, fog… to aurora, lightning, thunders. Also, beyond the atmosphere, shooting stars and meteorites arrive. For this series, I observed all these heavenly bodies and, through colour, lines and compositions, interpreted what I sensed, translating it over paper. Les Météores series is a reflection around the contrasts and transits between the tangible and intangible, light and darkness, sound and silence, movement and stillness. An exploration of the many reveries we often enjoy while looking at the sky and wondering about all its mystery.
