Many trips to Oaxaca to celebrate the Day of the Dead has inspired this 3-dimensional wooden sculpture, embellished with found objects, predominately vintage shoe studs from the 1940’s. My goal is to capture the spirit of this magical celebration remembering the vibrant and sparkling emotions the day carries into the night.
