Naive Paintings

This collection shows a series of naive or folk paintings whose themes and colors are inspired by the Caribbean environment. Naïve art in Puerto Rico, unlike its Caribbean counterparts, has so far had very little production and its creators at the moment register very few names, with the late artist Manuel Hernandez Acevedo being its first exponent in the 1960s.
