Native Americans

Portrait is the image of the soul. I am a portraitist, what interests me is to capture the intensity of being, what emerges from this person. The photographs of the Indians are charged with a powerful emotion, to photograph an Indian means that it is already captured. It is made historical because it is part of history; It is the story of a people who fought for their freedom. In spite of this apparent defeat, there emerges a nobility from it which I try to transcribe pictorially. What pleases me in these portraits is the fact that they testify that one can be free in adversity. Technique: oil on canvas. Format: 120x80 cm
