“Neither Water nor Air”

It is perhaps inspired by Robert Reinman, an early minimalist. The painting is meant to be calm and soothing while questioning what is there and what is hidden. It is part of an extended series that began while on residency in Truro Mass. I was living/working on an old farm and could work daytime or in the middle of the night. Since so much of my work is color driven it was exciting and a challenge to have a series which was subtle and subdued.
