2024｜FUKEI - Minoh-Semba

In the new series “FUKEI”, a Japanese word for landscape, I use the record of photos of ordinary everyday life. on the occasion of the opening of the new railway station in Minoh, which is my hometown, I created works with the scenery here. Minoh-city has long been famous for the sightseeing place with a large waterfall, but I wanted to express the new landscape of Minoh, which is showing new developments with the new station. I asked one of the fabric wholesalers here to provide me with dead stock fabric on which I painted the landscape around the new station.
