Brains and Balloons series

This piece is part of an ongoing series resulting of a very specific process. I used a twine soaked in painting and pressed in a folded paper. The first line is covered with a layer of white acrylic and the process is repeated with another soaked and pressed twine. Then the a woodblock depicting a brain is printed, covered with whit paint and printed again over the previous one. The last stage of the process consists in cut outs of whimsical balloons evolving the central brain pattern.
