Hiding behind a mask

Series of artwork created with brushes and a pallet knife from a period in which I painted a lot of women with masks. Many people wear a mask when they are out and in contact with other people and I wanted to show that you might never truly know who you are talking to through this series of 'mask' paintings. Painted in the Netherlands before moving to Spain. It was a difficult period in my life. Perhaps I myself wasn't able in that time to show my true personality. Are you?
