Tulips

This work is a mixed media on canvas. I was inspired by nature and beautiful flowers. I choose to blend the soft feeling of the silk and the dyes to the strong mark of oil pastels and markers to create this voluptuous and sensuous tulip. I hope the viewer will feel the seductive harmony of this flower. This type of work process involves a lot of time. I paint on silk with dyes, after I fix the color on the silk with steaming process and several washing and ironing, finally the silk is mounted on the canvas and I apply oils pastels, markers. ballpoint pens and fix the color.
