Where once great Oak forests stood, majestic in death, its last few decaying relics now fade slowly away. Ancient forest’s are far more than thriving communities of biodiversity, they are also the cemeteries of all that lived there before; my connection with nature is at its greatest in a forest. This collection depicts the decaying yet beautiful relics of an ancient forest. Photographed on carefully chosen days with exacting weather conditions has created a striking, harmonious set of images.To sit in complete silence in such an environment is to experience the sanctity of nature itself.
