Line to No More

Each of the artworks in this series depict an enigmatic short section of railway line, it's glory days now long since passed. A casualty of the evolution of road transport and industries that no longer exist, these images are representative of the many thousands of miles of railway line abandoned or for which no routine service now exists. With this line's original purpose now gone, this image begs the question 'where will the line go now'? Many of my artworks are produced over periods of years. This collection has three images produced in as many countries. Once a concept is established and if opportunity allows, throughout my international trips, I'll dedicate time to seeking locations for already established and ongoing image sets.
