Quake

I explore female identity by appropriating and manipulating 19th century photographic images called tintypes . This series: Quake, explores the feeling of unforeseen change that disrupts ones foundation. Though life seems to be falling apart, there is a glimmer of hope in each image which I represent through a small patch of color. If you look closely you'll see part of each women's face somewhere in each image.
