Sandra in the Snow ( Diptych)

Sandra in the Snow is a diptych. You can find the other part in my collection Sandra in the Snow. It consists of two staged photographs, each taken on 4 x 5 inch color negative and printed on analog gelatin Fuji photo paper (RA-4 process). The prints are mounted separately on aluminum with acrylic glass (Diasec® technology). Edition 1 of #3 plus 1 AP. The work has been shown in the Art Hall Vaasa ( Finland) and in galeries in Sweden and Germany. I did this images during a artist residency in northern Finland in winter. People there use to go to the sauna and then refresh in the ice-cold snow. So the imprint of a body in the snow is not only a very Finish phenomenon but it also gains a symbolic character, transcendenting the bare visual.
