After Moonrise

Although after moonrise is inspired by the writings and memories involved with the book Watership Down, I have drawn links to other book illustrations from my childhood, nursery rhymes, ancient mythologies and stories which have been passed down through generations. This body of work was created through a process that combined the hand drawn quality of lithography with digital technology. Each image was created through a subtle layering of the lithograph, gouache and found paper using them in a layering process that mirrors the layering of our memories. 'after moonrise' is a journey through the fictional world of rabbits created by Adams that allowed me to combine these memories, imagination and new insights to construct a new reading
