Chrysalide

The find of a piece of burl wood inspired me to this woodcut series. Its shape and gesture and its fine indentations evoke a female figure which at first seems closed like a cocoon. Each individual figurine has a unique sensitivity that gives it special expressiveness. Limited edition (20), with high-quality Charbonnel oil-copper ink on Japanese paper, 14,5 x 22,5 cm ships with a 30 x 40 cm passe-partout.
