"The pop culture fabricates all sorts of saviors. A comic super hero or an antidepressant pill, they both secure the absolute simulacrum – the illusion of protection and security. The contemporary iconography works in stereotypes. These stereotypes manufacture copies of the original – archetype, and this particular archetype derives from the concept of God. In fact the only information, which we cannot acquire by our standard means of perception, and which the religion is calling transcendence, can help us in the new interpretation and orientation for the symbolic systems."
