SERIE DRAG

The DRAG QUEEN is a term that describes a person who characterises and acts in the manner of a character with exaggerated features, with a primarily histrionic intent that mocks traditional notions of gender identity and gender roles, and therefore forms part of my characters with a defined non-identity. In the DRAG QUEEN SERIES, where I make this exaggeration in the character, I use recycled materials for the collage, promoting sustainability and transmitting a message to the viewer that we have magnificent materials in our immediate surroundings that we normally discard. In this series I use recycled magazine paper, egg cartons, soda cans, eggshells to make a collage.
