(...) Sarah Muscalu approaches 'white color work' as a manifestation of artistic practice seen as a way of continually sketching a meaning, building a habitat, engaging in a project, regardless of 'absurdity' and 'nothingness', and the irony of those who build an idyllic image of the artist as an 'icon' of cultural innovation and capitalization. In her works, she paints workers, who trace the foundation of a construction site. The workers, with white engineer helmets, draw constructivist structures, transmute grids, prepare for the painting of walls. Sarah no longer works directly on the canvas, but simulates a population of small oleo-political figurines performing in the operative theatre of the canvas. (...) - Cătălin Gheorghe
