This collection of blue and white abstract paintings has developed as a signature of my abstract work. It is where I will start any session in the studio. Led by instinct and impulsive response to music, it is how I find my flow. The simplicity of blue in contrast with white is a pure platform from which I can enter other thoughts and emotions. The representation of waves of emotion in this was, whether calm or turbulent, to mark moments in my life resolving thoughts and emotions I could not articulate. Blue is an important colour for other artists. Here I have added images from Picasso's blue period, Yves Klien's blue, Matisse's Blue Nude and more recently Anish Kapoor as these have provided inspiration
