About The Artwork

This work was inspired from half a life time of living on the land in far north Victoria Australia and the influence farming has on our vulnerable soil through erosion, rubbish and man's endeavours. This wonderful art work is comprised of collage, chicken wire and acrylic paint, which are compiled to form a conceptual composition purporting a social comment on the rubbished degraded state of lands across the world. It is a demanding, complex, raw and honest work - my paintings all tell different stories mostly about my wonderful country Australia and its iconic landscape. My background in faming the land, the Arts and teaching all of which heavily influence the way I approach my pieces wherein I consider each layer and addition of materials to be an integral part of my overall vision. I am an Australian born and bred and proud to an Aussie artist bringing my country to the world.
