ABOUT THE ARTWORK
This 3 dimensional piece of art plays with pattern and texture. I am inspired by the symmetry of Mother Nature and love creating geometric patterns with natural elements atop graphic patterned textiles. The textile base to this artwork is a vintage, porcelain blue & white fringed African mud cloth. The composition created atop the mud cloth is made up of baby abalone shells and white spindle shells. The piece is framed under a clear acrylic sheet secured with brushed nickel standoff hardware.
