ABOUT THE ARTWORK
Once a popular a form of quilting among upper class women of the 19th century, crazy quilts employed exotic pieces of fabric to create a free flowing patchwork design. This piece uses a similar approach but using paper. I used both handmade and decorative pieces of paper to create this lively piece. The use of words, e.g. "art", takes it into the 21st century both as a commentary and a design element. I happen to love this piece - makes me happy to look at it. It is unframed - can be framed or hung as is. Signed on front.
