Camille Ann Brewer a visual artist working and living in Detroit, Michigan. Brewer studied textile design and construction at the California College of Arts in San Francisco and the University of Michigan, Ann Arbor where she earned my BFA and MFA degrees respectively. From 2016-18, Brewer served as the inaugural curator of contemporary art at the George Washington University Museum and the Textile Museum. Prior to her work at the Textile Museum, she served as the inaugural curator and director of the Mott-Warsh Collection, a private lending collection of contemporary American fine art based in Flint, Michigan; and executive director of the Black Metropolis Research Consortium based at the University of Chicago.
