From my works series "Chaos and Destruction" - a mixed media series with many acrylic, printed and wax layers on mdf-wood board that emphasize the passing of time. This painting shows traces you can find on old walls, doors, houses, and you can wonder what has been there in former times, what did it look like.... also the colors remind you of sea, sky, waves, clouds... and abstract work with many structures and traces to be discovered! Looks gorgeous with its elegant custom made thin white wooden box frame. You will find lots of layers of color, scratching and other materials like paper, wax, prints on these wooden mdf boards, each layer was destroyed by the next one, all this makes the painting very interesting and deep and gives you lots of structures to discover. I love this piece very much! 31x31x2 cm, framed, ready to hang with hook on the back. Signed and titled on the back. (c) Gesa Reuter 2018

Germany
Based in Germany, Gesa Reuter’s artistic practice started in 1996. She has since studied the techniques of the old Dutch masters, layering selfmade gouache, egg tempera and sometimes oil to build her paintings with different layers of paint from thin to thick. Recently she has discovered the power of watercolours and ink in her work, enjoying the way the watery materials leave marks and traces to describe her inner feelings and emotions. Rather than painting an accurate visual representation of a landscape, she prefers to use the power of memory; her artworks are an expression of her feelings and emotions in the moment of experiencing the landscape." (Inside Artists, Issue 9, Summer 2017) So far, her works have been exhibited in Germany and Europe, mainly sold to private collectors in Germany, U.S.A., UK, NL, New Zealand, Saudi Arabia, to architects, small companies, private medical and psychological practices. In public collection of Amateras Foundation, Bulgaria, NHS England and Kunsthaus Stove, Germany.
