About The Artwork
A new piece for my Stones, Paper, Scissors series inspired by my visit to Stonehenge two years ago. Original rubbings were taken from megalithic stones in Sardinia on fine Japanese rice paper, then they are scanned and copied. Next I paint the landscape - roughly, tear the basic shape of the stone or stones then I draw back into them. This is the first piece I created and included the watercolor cutout person.
