ABOUT THE ARTWORK
Liminality refers to the state in which a living organism or system enters into a realm of fluidity where the norms and certainties of the past have been discarded or lost and there is no coherent system of values and 'knowns' to replace it. The future is the only certainty, but it remains entirely vague. The experience of liminality is often characterised as one of anomie and anxiety. Through this work, the artist hopes to ignite a dialogue about the nature of change, hope, and meaning-making, but also the hidden beauty of adversity.

I was born in Athens, Greece and have also lived in the USA, the UK and Spain. My current residence is Athens, Greece. I have studied Contemporary Art Practice, Art Psychotherapy and Psychology. I am also a co-founder of Syn Festival Edinburgh. I have participated in group exhibitions in Athens, Edinburgh and Barcelona. I held my first solo exhibition Empty Questions? at It's A Biλατζ in Athens. I work with collage, photo-manipulation, and assemblage.
