Number III of my series of compositions monolithic sign. Every time I stood in front of archaic object, or image, I sensed a different feeling, other than the one before. There is something there, a steady way of making the materials, something structural, that portraits my being. I support the discovery and every old things reveal to me something new. And I believe that this propensity of mine of assimilate, of research this visual segment, goes beyond emotional area. It's about my conservator way, simple, without turmoil, of organizing a surface. A denial in front of social unfolding, a strengthening of interior balance a way of refuge and gathering, that's what I think it reprezent for me the painting, the studies and the themes that follows them. I thought it was important to find a connection between my preoccupations that define me better. I chose the monolith, the shape state made from one piece, from one block, unitary, homogenous, simple. When I feel the resonance with the monolithic sign, the undefined state of mind of that moment reveals to me the potential imaginative dimensions, and it guides me to my one plastic solutions of the surface. I paid attention to the archaic content, to atmosphere and proportions found in images and reproductions studies old monuments, I searched out the archeological places memory state, that I researched on previous monuments. My compositions unfold vertically, the shapes and archaic images that I have studied are static organized, and I've tried to imprint a tectonic, monolithic structure. I've chosen the proportion between the horizontal and the vertical and hidden structural dialogues in the rhythm, trying to maintain but also to push towards self valences of this structure; I've revealed discreetly a part of the sources, looking to lend to the plastic image some of the sources atmosphere. To change the rhythm of the central shape that is symmetrical composed, I structured in the space below some areas that send you to sculptor Henry Moore art. I thought that varios palette of shades of black, brown, ochre, a like the one used in ancient time that was restricted by the mineral and organically substances, presents an advantage for this solution. I consider this work a beginning, a perspective of a personal way and a private work lab.
