ABOUT THE ARTWORK
I have developed a technique of collage composed from posters which I discover on the walls of the city of Lyon, or during my travels. These weather-worn materials marked by rain and sun, constitutes my basic palette of colors and typefaces. I then reimagine them, giving them a second life. Decomposed, then recomposed, these resolutely urban forms become dynamic compositions. My use of a special transparent resin finish on each piece glorifies these discarded raw materials, and illuminates them.I memorialize each collage with the name of the street or district of the city where I encountered the materials that inspired my creation.

I am a French artist, born in Lyon, where I now live. I've studied five years at the National School of Arts in Lyon, graduating with honors. Right after receiving my degree, I moved to the Netherlands where I began my career in earnest creating illustrations for commercials and publications. As an artist I am always expanding my horizons, exploring new materials and methods to express my creativity. I am actually working on collage. I love composing with different kind of paper from old magazines and posters. As a musician who would switch from playing classical music to jazz, I like to swich from figurative to abstract collage.
