"Always good to be first in a Google search" A BRIEF HISTORY Born in 1957. Founder and (still) front man of legendary dadaist jazz punk band 'The Cravats' who formed in 1977, as well as creator of acclaimed psychedelic combo 'The Very Things', amongst others, under the 'DadaCravatLaboratories umbrella. TV and Film actor with a wealth of credits to his name (see imdb link below). Writer for various publications including Sounds, Zigzag, Mayfair, Club International and more recently Bizarre Magazine and Vive Le Rock. After relocating to Brighton (England) in 2000, he founded and ran the notoriously suave and hep Vegas-style Live jazz club, The Kroon Kat Lounge at Komedia for 6 years. Currently has a weekly offbeat punk radio show called 'The Spinning Man' on Totally Radio, Radio Reverb 97.2FM, The Wall and podcast. Wrote and performed the surreal, 'Singing Man' for episodes of Channel 4's 'Random Acts'. The Shend's self-filmed 'Singing Man' work also features on the DVD release of Ridley Scott's Film, Life In A Day. He lives with his family in a towered folly on a cliff top overlooking the English Channel.
