This picture was made from pieces of old clothes using the technique of rughoocking. When creating, I was inspired by classic Dutch still lifes. Rag noodles is a unique, author's technique that allows you to create picturesque canvases from old clothes. The source material is sorted by color and texture and prepared for work. Then we cut the fabric into working strips (noodles) and from these noodles, in accordance with the artist's intention, a picture is created. The technique is similar to carpet weaving. A drawing is applied to the base, and then thousands of loops are pulled with a boot awl for dratva, embodying the intended plot. And so! The result is a thick and dense carpet! American craftswomen call this way creating paintings “rug hooking”. That’s what happened now.
