This one-off original piece was inspired by and created on my time on expedition in the Norwegian wilderness. It was an easy place to lose myself, both feeling humbled and full of hope all at once. My name is Colin & I'm a well travelled and experienced Expedition and Adventure Landscape Artist who is well versed in operating anywhere from the easily accessible, to the remotest locations on the planet. From the chilly high mountain passes and glaciers of Norway, to the overgrown jungle like trails of South Korea and South America, and all manner of environments in between. I'm no stranger to adventure, discomfort, and extreme conditions, and remote wilderness on land and at sea. Originally from Scotland and now based on the south coast of the UK. I'm always looking to connect & come on board with more expedition groups, conservation & environmental research teams, outdoor centres and businesses & outdoors professionals who would be excited at the prospect of having an expedition artist in addition to the usual documentary photographers that are included on such adventures. In this day and age some don't consider the opportunities offered and benefits by including an artist alongside photographers, and if you give me enough time to talk about this with you you'll see just how impassioned I am about working alongside and in addition to expedition photographers, and how important we really are. In short for now I'll simply say that a photo can say a thousand words and show someone else a small part or snapshot of what you saw, but art doesn't just document what you saw, but tells and conveys to the world how you felt. This is why I do what I do and would love to extend that same opportunity to your own expeditions and adventures too. In the meanwhile, between expeditions I continue to create art based on my experiences which I offer for sale too. Please feel free to visit my social media channel on instagram . Being based on the south coast of the UK I am particularly well placed to work with people and organisations anywhere in the world! So I am very willing and able to travel anywhere I'm needed.
