Edition available! "Art is the highest form of hope" is a quote from the painter Gerhard Richter. It was published in a catalog for documenta 7 in 1982. Is hope merely a faint glimmer, or does it open up glimpses of hope, a new realm of possibility? Hope lives first. But the hopeful impulse of art...

Andreas Kuhn is an established German artist who exhibits internationally. His works can be found in private collections in Australia, Germany, England, New Zealand, Norway, Scotland, Spain, Switzerland, Taiwan and USA. „Keep on moving. Flow is a state of mind. Let´s flow. Everything is flowing — the only question is, where to flow? The choice is between destructive disruption or creative development. Can you strengthen your inner agility and resilience through art, despite and because of these dark times? Try it, or you're already lost. Art is energy and, at its best, pure joy. No happy end? Fresh start!“ AK The artist Andreas Kuhn applies the colors to the canvas with wide brushes in sweeping movements. The pasty consistency of the oil colors allows each brush trace to remain visible as a relief-like structure. Kuhn often overlays several painting layers to form a complex tissue. The light is refracted and reflected by these color structures in such a way that the painting appears different and in motion from every viewing angle. Unleashing the power of colors, balancing counter-movements, modulating light: Kuhn is concerned with the balancing of all picture elements. One subject of his art is the balancing act itself, the dynamic equilibrium of a variety of viewing and thinking options.
