Steve Kalinda is a London-based illustrator and digital artist known for expressive figurative work and portraiture. In 2025, he created the cover illustration for Bonnie Tsui's On Muscle (Algonquin Books). His work has shown at the Affordable Art Fair New York and the Woolwich Contemporary Print Fair, represented by TAG Fine Arts, and has been featured in the Saatchi Art catalogue and over twenty curated collections including Best of 2026, Curator Picks: New Figurative Works, and Creative Portraits. His current series, Rêve (French for dream), began as iPhone sketches and is refined in Photoshop and Illustrator. The work is a tribute to women's strength and a call to dream boldly, to turn imagination into something real. Steve holds a Bachelor's degree in Films and Philosophy, and his practice draws as much from cinema and literature as from the rhythms of contemporary visual culture. He works fluidly between traditional illustration and digital media, choosing whichever moves at the speed of the idea. For Steve, art translates light into form. A daily practice of catching the world's beauty and complexity before the original impulse fades.
