This collage is a part of the series "Masks in Rave." In my imagination, gloves are actually masks, because gloves are hiding what animates them. The glove is a symbol of infinite power, like Thanos’ power to use his glove to erase instantly half of the life in the universe. The gloves in my paintings and digital collages have the same ability to deprive humans of their lives. Within the narrative of the images, everybody is part of the communal rave. The individual’s will is a blurred memory from their past. "Masks in Rave" is a dystopian and imperfect world ruled by a super-power symbolized by the glove. This collage is a limited edition of 10. The company I am working with to produce my prints use a dye sublimation method that infuses dye into the surface of aluminum prints, for an archival quality photograph that will last. The dye particles are completely enclosed within the coating, giving a print that is waterproof and scratch and UV resistant.
