Steven McCabe is a multidisciplinary artist born in Kansas City, Missouri who lives in Toronto. He is both visual artist, poet & author (author of seven books). He has created cinematic poetry videos in collaboration with media professionals. He has published a 'wordless poem' with 120 linocut prints exploring non-linear narratives. His digital prints incorporate tactile, original work layered with Photoshop manipulations. For over a decade he has created digital images posted in his Wordpress blog 'Poemimage.' He has worked as an artist instructor (including poetry workshops) in both private and public educational settings while teaching thousands of students. He has been working on a triptych since 2021 on three rolls of Fabriano mid-weight paper using inks, watercolours, water soluble graphite and gouache. The final roll of paper is almost one third completed as of autumn 2025. Each roll of paper is 5' X 33.' Themes include 'the poetry of ancient birds,' 'Celtlandia,' and 'psyche.' The first roll of paper is primarily blues. The second black and white. The third roll will be a mixture.
