VIEW IN MY ROOM
Series of 16 works that have as their theme the representation of women in the History of Art, "The Borrowings". These are not quotations from authors but borrowed and modified for the purpose of artistic creations. Colors, textures, size, transparency... are my composition tools for these assembly paints. In the end the borrowings, at this point combined, make the representation enigmatic. Only the thread of Ariadne will make it possible to find your way around... Guillaume-André MORINET lives and works in Ile-de-France where his workshop is located. Attracted very early by painting, he received complete artistic training at the Ecole Nationale Supérieure des Beaux Art in Paris. He then deepened his research at the Ecole Nationale Supérieure des Arts Décoratifs in Paris. The abstract work of Guillaume André MORINET is at the crossroads of an experimentation with spontaneous gesture and a questioning of the materiality of the support. He is interested in the informal and the dynamics of the traces left by his gestures. His goal is to preserve the appearance of forms that occur during his work sessions.
