The Tempest Series - Love at First Bite #3 100 artworks The Tempest Series - is a palette of clear and powerful blue, yellow, red, black and white with strongly colored areas and style. And with this palette I explore a handful of themes: love, lips, stars, storms, explosions, and the letter x, and a few more concrete themes such as Formula 1, America's Cup, even Mickey Mouse. Over all, as with most of my work first I become enthused about a palette, style, energy and feel and then use this broad aesthetic to dress a series of icons and themes. The Tempest style is strong colors and lines and strong energy in the themes. Powerful yet optimistic. Bold with no hesitations. Clear statements. Short and succinct. A tempest asks no questions, waits for no answers.
