ABOUT THE ARTWORK
Tunisia is one of my favourite places to visit. I love her coastline, textiles, people and the Sahara. There is nothing like the wide open spaces of sand and sky. The mirages. I visited this film set several times, but it took me a while to create this artwork. A vision of layered photos that I think captures the essence of Mos Espa as the desert tries to claim it as its own. Incidentally, Tunisia was where I began my photo manipulations, one balmy, unforgettable evening in Matmata. All A3 artwork is digitally produced using archival inks and paper.
