Electroencephalography (EEG) is a remarkable neuroimaging technique that captures the electrical activity of the brain. Non-invasive and painless, it involves placing electrodes on the scalp to measure brainwave patterns, revealing valuable insights into brain function and cognitive processes. Widely used in clinical and research settings, EEG aids in diagnosing neurological disorders, studying sleep patterns, and understanding brain responses to various stimuli. Its applications extend to brain-computer interfaces and neurofeedback, where individuals can control devices or train their brains through real-time feedback. Though the imagery of a non-standard EEG headset may evoke sci-fi associations, in reality, EEG is a valuable tool that continues to advance our understanding of the brain's complexities.

I am Luxembourg-born scientific illustrator and artist living in Hanover, Germany. For a couple of decades I was a copywriter for Honeywell Bull, Nokia and Siemens. Then I slowly slipped into computer graphics. I specialized in illustrating molecules and fullerenes for a long time. In 1988 I received a recognition of the Prix Ars Electronica for my graphic "Funnel". In 2023 I started doing AI illustrations. I live together with my partner Elke Leger, my favorite photo subject, and a turtle named George.
