This is one of the images from my 'Fabstract' collection which is a collection of digital paintings created by myself using traditional techniques, but on a computer. It is based on the concept of capturing an abstract impressionist mood or moment in time of the Yorkshire and Cumbrian landscapes. Throughout the series there is a sense of beauty and drama with an epic vastness, a calm tranquility and a kind of mystery. Leaving parts to the imagination of the viewer to ponder over, Fabstract is a truly curious collection of studies involved in the topographical subject of outdoor space, light and mood. Working closely with a fine art printer (a member of the Fine Art Trade Guild), I am offering this artwork as a limited edition of 25, as a Giclee print onto 315gsm soft textured white paper, using the best longevity inks. The final printed size (510 x 353mm) will include a 50mm plain border all around the image so that it can be framed without any loss of image. You can be assured that there will be no more than 25 printed and I will supply a signed and numbered certificate of authentication. The artwork will be packed very carefully - rolled and bubble-wrapped, inside large diameter toughened cardboard tubes, to ensure that it reaches you in perfect condition. Please don't hesitate to contact me if you'd like any further information about either myself or my art, its always great to hear from fellow art lovers.

Simon Antony Wilson, born 1967 in Bradford and now lives on the West Coast of Portugal in the Costa Vicentina National Park. He studied graphic design and illustration at Bradford Art College and also attended private watercolour classes. After leaving art college he began a 30 year creative career as a commercial graphic artist, working for design and advertising agencies. This successful experience led him to run his own design company specialising in branding, which he continues to do today. Art and design has literally been a way of life for him - creating, designing and branding for a broad range of local and global companies. During the course of his career he has developed and honed techniques and skills in digital mediums which he uses in his fine art projects. Outside of design Simon has a passion for immersing himself in natural and wild landscapes. As a keen cyclist and hill walker he has spent many hours experiencing the delights of the National Parks of the Yorkshire Dales and the Cumbrian Lake District. Now that Simon has re-located to the wild, west coast of Portugal, he is spending his time exploring the wonders of the Costa Vincentina National Park, always in search of inspiration. He is constantly working on and building his paintings series which he names ‘Fabstract’. It is based on the concept of capturing an abstract impressionist mood or moment in time of the beautiful and unspoilt landscapes that surround him. Within the series, there is a sense of beauty and drama with an epic vastness, a calm tranquillity and a kind of mystery, leaving parts to the imagination of the viewer to ponder over. Fabstract is a truly curious collection of studies involving the topographical subject of outdoor space, light and mood.
