About The Artwork

Digitally created and printed in high quality cotton paper (Photo Rag 308) paper ready to be framed. Evolved traits such as intuitive skills have allowed individuals to quickly evaluate a suitable sexual partner in about 100 ms (1). The Tarantella was first recorded in the 15th century, the tarantella gets its name from an Italian wolf spider referred to as a “tarantula.” Muscle spasms, delirium, and death were associated with its bite. Legend has it the sweaty, gyrating dance developed to flush the toxin out of the body. Musicians wandered fields expecting pay to play for the plagued. This upbeat tambourine grove soon became the iconic dance of Southern Italy.(2) At sunrise, scattering affects the color of light coming from the sky, but the details are determined by the wavelength of the light and the size of the particle. The short-wavelength blue and violet are scattered by molecules in the air much more than other colors of the spectrum. This is why blue and violet light reaches our eyes from all directions on a clear day. But because we can't see violet very well, the sky appears blue.
